1997 – apprenticeship in icon painting, Monastery Agapia, Neamt

1997-2001 – studies of Theology and Art at the “Al. I. Cuza” University, Faculty of
Orthodox Theology, special course of Cultural Patrimony and restauration,
Iasi, Romania

2002 – travel to Germany
- apprenticeship by the German painter Detlev Foth, Düsseldorf, Germany

Since 2003 Ioana Luca lives and works as a professional artist in Düsseldorf, Germany, where she has a studio
together with the painter Detlev Foth (Ateliergemeinschaft Foth – Luca)
